" Only. One Super Bowl champion and hall of Famer. Only statement Mully and Hanley Sunday morning quarterback in Chicago Sports Radio SIX SEVENTY The Score."
" Is Mully and Hanley here it's called sports Trai Essex they have the highlight of our week one of the highlights in my -- That was our visit. But Troy -- all favored himself -- occupy such announcement this venue at horseshoe casino stop -- about -- after every football game check out the post game -- as a dog you know on the phone. I don't read that he has played cable's watch all the football on. Is sixty foot screen and it's all that great waited for his book on Sundays. -- is also Brent Dubai moto -- very -- and why they have over 75000 unique visitors each month at waterworks."
" I'll -- I don't want you. It's great -- got every Monday we've really gotten a lot of great feedback line I would love your insight. And yesterday you you're watching and taking in and a broadcasting the Kansas City Dallas game. Cowboys had to go to overtime to when the game in Kansas City which are no it's always tough place to play but Rosner my colleague today and I -- talk about. With the Bears I would watch and all the other games and man it's tough to get a gauge on how good the good teams are. How bad the bad teams are because there are two polar opposites -- not a whole lot of middle class in the NFL from what I've seen."
" Yeah you know I think that -- each year there's five to six teams that make the playoffs that didn't make the playoffs the year before and that's been happening now -- The last several years and yet every year when you get ready to kickoff the season you look at the teams that made the playoffs the previous year it's hard to imagine. -- am not make it's hard to imagine. Tennessee you know not make the playoffs but yet they're not going to. And then you know do you think the teams were pretty good her partner you know you do specifically the Kansas City Dallas game. I I don't know what to make of -- to be honest -- you mean there's the three teams that they should be. I have not wanna game. They've lost too -- they they lost than to. Denver which looks to be really good team they lost to the Giants which I know is an excellent team and last night's win at -- taken them and overtime. You know the Cowboys were expected to be better than what they've shown and I know that in getting ready for this game between that was don't force Kansas City. If the Giants had been hit. They could've scored fifty points in that game a week ago Philadelphia. You know have to beat them pretty it is well I think the Cowboys are are in trouble right now it would help some that they have a bye week but I would agree with you as far as look at the league. And -- who are the good things Cincinnati you know I was in Iceland for them and the director for real now after it's hard after five games. There's some of those seven -- less with a guitar after five games to look at these teams a third of the way through the season and not. Take them for what they are."
" specifically the NFC you know when you look around that you just said you think Dallas is in trouble and it and there're some teams that are performing pretty well but has anybody really separated themselves in your mind and you. You have the Giants -- of five and no. Philly looked good yesterday the Bears have looked good four quarters or halves not even for a team yet. Do you see any team separating themselves Agassi through New Orleans in their two."
" I do but there's a lot of problems sometimes I'm not ready to say this right now the team I think -- but. I think you have to like with the Giants and I -- that -- I have not seen Eli Manning play as well as well he's been playing this year and he's been good but he's taken a tune entirely different level. That was -- injured we've got them this week against the New Orleans. Which is another team that that I believe is is legitimate because her defense is got a lot better. Minnesota you can't discount them and what they've done we talked about it last week that that entire division to me. It is going to be a lot of fun to move through the year. -- Minnesota. That five and -- port Chicago after the bye with one loss and Greenberg has two losses both sides are still believe that that -- gonna come down to the last weakened to. In -- in in the last I don't know -- sisco over Arizona on the I'm not sure that there necessarily gonna contend the other team that would probably jumped out of me is. Is Atlanta I like that team and I believe that they got a chance to --"
" And the Bears play at Atlanta Sunday night and it it's again it's tough to gauge Troy how good -- they went out there and I was kind of waiting for the 49ers to take a step back. Because it was a field historic particularly your scarlet Mike Singletary. Leading that group but I I didn't buy in fully I didn't buy in -- Cincinnati until that when yesterday not a dummy so -- that. The Atlanta dominate that game and yet watching -- given the eyeball test San Cisco really. Really self disintegrated and it's very short time like ninety seconds in that second quarter."
" Yeah I didn't see any of that game but I know we have governor loss against New England in the and they hung in there and at the end days ago wait for a moment. Yeah right for all still trying to figure out exactly what New England has -- You know with Atlanta offensively they've got some weapons they had not really gotten Michael Turner grown and gotten Roddy -- rock an actual game yesterday and now. And I I like Matt Leinart I think he's just an -- player effect yesterday somebody actually civil -- it won't yesterday. You know he lacks and that's what. I guess he likes for poor -- speed you know. It's like after what does Peyton Manning like they did this guy and I'm not compared to Peyton Manning but I think he has all the skills and -- as the players around him. Atlanta the only. The only real concern I think would be okay it will you know as -- defense gonna. You know give to a level that can allow them to compete for a championship and -- that -- to go back in the war that's been the difference from down this year is they've got great offensive had that since Drew Brees and John Payton got there. But now Gregg Williams or defense recorded the play in particular -- ball."
" I don't know if -- got a chance to see the Indy game last and you have him on game yesterday blitz Peyton Manning made -- throw last night so Austin Collie on it honey. I don't play with I don't know twenty seconds left in the half for something like that is just a phenomenal -- when he made that throw it said to myself. My dad you know if they're gonna play defense like this and Peyton Manning is going to be -- again they're going back to the Super Bowl."
" Well you know you look at that team and it regardless of whatever else they pat and you need other players around I'm the first to admit that. But as long as there Peyton Manning and he's healthy and they're gonna have -- chance to win every single ball game that they play and you nobody puts in more time than Peyton Manning has we have them a couple of years ago Indianapolis where broadcast agreement we have and he'll probably around week tan and this guy goes back and watches every single. Shelled every single game of the opponent. That he's getting ready to play and and that is some more than usual usually you go back three maybe four games he goes and watches every single game. There's no one more prepared I've been there Friday practices and I've never seen a quarterback and Friday practice. Runs the practice like a coach the way that Peyton Manning does it's remarkable good amount of input in the in the influence and impact. He hasn't been practicing and certainly. Within a game and he's remarkable mean when you start talking in fact I had some some buddies over I didn't watch that game last night. Pasadena or reliever and been a pretty -- time and and you guys are probably about my agent -- Michael Jordan over the years and -- what he meant Tiger Woods currently but I Serb side I really think we're watching -- Brett Favre is is Brett Favre but I really think we're watching a guy. That would world we're gonna look back and say this guy could very easily have been the greatest quarterback of our time and I'll say that. No one what I think of Joe -- mastered what you think the greatest quarterback all kind of you know I'd ever saw Johnny Unitas -- or -- off from the guys that I've seen and those that I saying I would say Joe Montana every single time but. Tell you what it's -- different Peyton Manning went a few more Super Bowls. I don't think there's been much argument."
" I wanna argue that -- each week he shows and some so many people wonder revealed it on Indianapolis. Because they don't have Marvin Harrison because they don't have guys up front. And Peyton Manning is you just said he leads the -- outfield how he prepares. And in a very roster are talk about this earlier in the show choice as Troy Aikman Dresser Mully and Hanley show on. The idea that when he sets an example and Jordan did with the Bulls know practice harder no one took it gave a 100% each -- step on the court. It in Dallas -- what the Cowboys are all about in the perception maybe in some quarters that Tony Romo. Doesn't working added nearly as much as he needs to maybe things came to quickly in terms of the riches in the contract and the notoriety and all that in. And any truth to that from what you seat on the."
" Well I think that's I think that's a good observation and and I and I would I would say that's probably wrong but it's wrong. Long. And Tony's the one who's allowed depth perception to exist you know me -- makes it very -- actually -- to a lot of things and you seemed a lot of commercials but -- certainly. You know don't see amount. Doing a lot of things be -- visibly. -- a lot of social circles and then like like we have from Tony Romo. Still early in his career in the and I know that early on Tony it was a one Tuesday I'm I'm I'm not gonna worry about perception I'm gonna live my life. Well your perception as a big part of it and and Tony works hard at it you know he works extremely hard at -- the gym -- he spent a lot of time in the off season going through the tapes and every else but yet. As you mentioned the perception on him around is that he doesn't work as part about it is what may be a Peyton Manning does. And and all we have to go off of his -- know you know what perception is or at least that's -- the public testicle off social. I think it's important. I he's as far as the players and everybody in people around the league understanding. That your status as a guy who puts him considerable amount of time and -- when you go back to -- Payton and Ryan leaf. We're coming out of college there was a lot it was it was split down and -- And and the one thing when I was because I really thought there was some Ryan -- has some tremendous skills. But the one thing I think is important a quarterback is how committed is the how important games or more of the intangibles. And from that standpoint you knew you're gonna get a guy who was gonna lose your work it being great and Peyton Manning and like Eli Manning he was coming -- hey I don't know what kind of pros got ultimately is going to be. But I do know that is gonna work hard at it he's got all the intangibles he wants a bigger player and that goes a long way especially the quarterback position."
" Troy is always a pleasure look forward to our conversation next week. Garciaparra try to make the hall Famer he's here every Monday morning 8:30 AM -- in the show Chicago Sports Radio six -- score."
